Our latest British Social Attitudes report found people are at least as distrustful of government and politicians as ever.

A record high of 45% now say they 'almost never' trust governments of any party to place the needs of the nation above the interests of their political party. #NatCenDataBites #Trust

Since 2016 we have been asking people whether they agree or disagree with the proposition, 'A person who is transgender should be able to have the sec recorded on ther birth certificate changed if they want'. Our latest #BritishSocialAttitudes survey found the public is as critical now of how Britain is governed as they have ever been. The latest #SocietyWatch report shows Gen Z faces the biggest gap of any generation between housing aspiration and reality. The majority (81%) want to buy a home despite 78% of Gen Z expecting house prices to increase in their area. #BritishSocialAttitudes #NatCenDataBites

On #SocialCare, our latest #SocietyWatch2024 report found that Gen Z is the only generation where a majority (59%) want to see the government pick up the whole of the adult Social Care bill.

Our #BritishSocialAttitudes data suggests #GenZ wants a progressive approach to funding adult social care, more likely to support the idea that society's most well-off pay the most, whether through general taxation or individual contributions.
