When I get the stuff out, they know what’s up, and they compete over who gets to go first.
I’ve had to resort to making sure the bed I use is smaller because Leeloo will crawl into the bed with Benson, making the process a little more difficult.

This is what our nail trimming session looks like.
I use a Milwaukee rotary tool (like a Dremel) with a 60 grit sanding band at a low speed (around 2 on the dial). I don’t dwell too long on the nail.
I do this weekly to keep the amount of work low, so the process goes by fast.
Treats and praise are super important.

It’s amazing how easy my greyhounds make nail trimming day. Not at all being facetious. They love nail trimming day. It can be a problem sometimes because Leeloo will get pushy to have her turn. Even if she already did.
It’s always funny hearing stories from others who hate having their nails trimmed.

How do other #dog owners deal with #NailTrimming ?
Daisy hates having her nails clipped. I think the vet we used to go to traumatised her. The groomer had too much difficulty, so today, I took her to the new vet to have them done. They prescribed a calmative for her, 1/2 last night, 1/2 ninety mins before appointment. They were brilliant, they distracted her with food, and with the tablet she was fine.
BUT the tablet was $25 and the clipping was $25
That’s not sustainable ongoing.
