Sam had a really busy day today.

Today was Greyhound Adoption League of Texas's 25th anniversary celebration. Lots of greyhounds were there. There was a roo! I won a raffle for a piece of art, which is already hanging in my office.

Sam met so many greyhounds! I think she had a lot of fun. She got so many pets.

I knew she was on the small side, but seeing her around all those greyhounds proved she's really smol!

There was also quite a lot of blue greyhounds. I even heard others comment about this. Blue is not super common!

PSA: I am in the process of adopting a greyhound, so there will be many photos of this new delight. He will be our 6th retired racing greyhound, filling a gap in our hearts left by our most recent sweet boy in January.

For those of you who know how this process goes, I have no date, no dog info, and only one picture, which I stare at several times a day. The likely lad will be coming from #Australia to #Canada in the next month or so, and he has no idea how loved he will be.

Please be patient as your feed is inundated with photos of a skinny dog doing absolutely nothing.

This has become Sam’s favorite bed.

It’s the oldest bed I have. Almost 8 years old I’m sure. Well broken in and probably still smells a bit like Benson and Leeloo.

This is where she sleeps at night. And after morning routine, she goes right back to it.
