Sad to post that my dear black lab Jet passed away this morning. It was a peaceful farewell, and I find some comfort in the words of Agnes Sligh Turnbull: "Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault really."
You were a good dog, Jet, and I loved our life journey together, and learned so much from you. See you on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, old pup. 🌈❤️ 🐶
With Xmas and holidays (without Jet) looming, Jet's fallen ill again! In 2023 it was his cruciate ligament, 2024 it was laryngeal paralysis, this year Jet's peeing "claret". He hasn't responded to antibiotics, I will get blood and urine tests done, but I won't subject him to invasive procedures and surgery. He's 14 and we've had a great life together. For now, we're enjoying each day as it comes. Just like a dog! ❤️🐶 #dogs #mydog #olddog #mydogposts #DogsOfMastodon
