@Mastodon As also pointed out by others since spring - the other broken element of the #MuteButton is that critical selections are hidden behind the "show-options" sub-menu.

I often want to mute someone's posts, but still DO want to see their notifications if we chat a lot. Not a good move. It defaults the wrong way.

Shit! New #Mute operation is terribly fucked ... - the (first) dialog window show lots of text & easy to hit [Mute] button on lower right (missing here are the time period options); - behind the lots-of-text -- when [Show options] button on lower left is clicked -- "Until I unmute" & "Hide notifications" are default every time (as of now); - after being inconvenienced once to click again to reveal the time options, I am not going to do that again. Fuck that! De facto muting until the end of the time be it😐🤷🏽‍♂️ #mastodon #mastodonWebUI #mastodonUX seems to be degrading
