I've had some time off, and have been using some of it to clean out my closet.

At least 6 pairs of shoes are getting tossed because, while they should have been still wearable, were done for since they were made of pleather/"vegan" leather, which literally falls apart after a few years.

A reminder to all who may have Visa, AmEx, or Master Card gift cards now and in the future. Often you'll wind up with a small balance on them that doesn't make it worthwhile to make a purchase with it online or in a store. Something like US$1.60 or less.

Go to Wikipedia, Archive.org, your local animal shelter, or just about any worthwhile nonprofit and donate that odd amount on their web page.

Talking with someone who is mad about the temporary centre for asylum seekers going up in Nepean.

They're also mad at the City Councillor, saying the Councillor doesn't live close enough to the site to understand. Funny: I Iive very close by, but have no concerns.

I guess we're measuring whose backyard with a different stick than the one up some people's asses.
