Maharashtra's new government has just indulged in its first major scam.

The airport-adjacent land parcel of 8.3 crore sq.ft. has been allowed 5x FSI free of all development charges, i.e. Adani can build 41.5 crore sq.ft. free of all development charges (usually amounts to Rs.6,000-12,000 per sq.ft. paid by Mumbai's property buyers - it's one reason why property prices in Mumbai are so high).

Amounts to 250,000-500,000cr gift to the Adani group at the cost of Mumbai's taxpayers and property buyers.
