On old iPhones with iOS < 16.3 the mobile menu will not open. Tapping the hamburger icon does nothing.

This is due to the removal of an importmap polyfill in 08/2024 (core.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/58952).

A ticket by Joe Dolson to »reconsider removal of import map polyfill« (core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/64015) was eventually closed as »wontfix«.

I 'm shaking my head in disbelieve and said so here:
