#MiniMasterpieces 9 — Chocolate

"What were you doing? There's chocolate everywhere."

What were you doing? There's chocolate everywhere.

The massive Obsidian looked down on the two musteline creatures standing before him. Both were naked as the day they were whelped, and both were covered eartip to tailtip in dried, crusty chocolate shell. It matted their fur, though there were obvious signs they had attempted to groom one another or themselves. Both were grinning toothily, almost vibrating giddily from the sugar rush, and some of the chocolate had a clear, sometimes white glaze on it that the dragon doubted was confectionary.

The dragon sighed, a clear picture of what the pair had been doing forming in his mind. Look, do as you like, just clean up when you're done. And before you ask, no, because I do not wish to try and explain why I'm cleaning chocolate out of the deep crevices in my scales. But I do thank you for your consideration.

With that, he backed out of the door, wisely not turning his back on the pair before hesitating a moment after closing it. He could hear the sounds of things being knocked over and the pair literally bouncing off the walls. Their antics were well within expected bounds, but he had no doubt he would be hearing from the cleaning kobolds about the effort they had to expend.

Geeta: "Experiment. Collected a basketful of truffles yesterday. Now I'm refining my recipe to sell at the market on Saturday."
T: "But how did it get, well, everywhere?"
G: "Trust the process, darling. Would you please lick the table and the cabinet? Tell me which chocolate you like better."

#MiniMasterpieces 7 — Macabre Neon City

Jasmine glanced around as Carmin landed on the building's roof next to her. "Being this close to hell is rather obvious. the grunge isn't pretty." Jasmine sighed her tail twitching slightly.
"tell me about it," Carmin sighed, "I can feel the grime seeping into my feathers. it's all psychotic of course."

Jasmine snorted, "psychological... not psychotic. neither of us are psychotic."

The pair gazed down at the streets below the glow from the magically created neon lights reflecting up towards them bathing the pair in a rainbow-hued glow. They were close to the forest Shymra had asked them to meet her at and the pair hoped that the sanctuary they were both seeking was close by. Thankfully, it was.
