#WordWeavers 12/30:
How has your writing been this year? Any achievements/wins/lessons you want to celebrate?

I released four books in 2025, but 2026 is not looking as productive. I'm managing so much stress in my personal life, the words have dried up over the past few months. I have a new book dropping Jan. 1 and book 8 of my Whimsical Dreams series will drop in early 2026. Beyond that, nothing else is in the queue. Here's hoping I get my mojo back soon.

Challenge #04748-L364: Sealed Recall

Whilst diving through an archive, Wraithvine comes upon a volume chronicling hir own adventures. A nostalgic read turns bizarre when ze comes upon a tale which ze does not recall experiencing. Surely its an exaggeration, a conflation with another's myth.Only, it weighs on Wraithvine, the language and details making it uncanny. Only investigating this fully will let hir know the truth of this lost memory… -- [Deathshead419](https://www.internutter.org/bb/user/deathshead419]It's not often that an immortal looks up their own stories. This one, like so many, purported to be An True and Accurat Accountyng of the Adventuref of Wraithvine the Yternal. It was obviously old, predating the invention of standardised spelling. Either well preserved or accurately copied with magic.

Ze
had been looking for traces of ancient magic in the local legends or lore. Just in case there was something ze needed to clean up.

Wraithvine opened the book, scanning through the stories. Wandering down memory lane, which had since become a long and lengthy labyrinth. Full of potholes. Such as Chapter seventy-three.

#WordWeavers 12/29:
Do you tend to write stories in a certain season or geographical location?

Not so much in certain seasons, but all of my books are set on the west-central Florida coast where I reside IRL.

#PennedPossibilities 886 — What part of the writing process itself is your favorite?

In the weeds, writing the actual story itself. I'm a pantser, so it's always a thrill to see and feel where my characters are taking me.

Challenge #04750-L363: Horror Amidships

An old ship is set to be sunk for an artificial reef. An inspector makes a final round to make sure the explosives are wired and no curious souls are onboard. That’s when the inspector finds a locked compartment which does not open to the supposed master key. What could be hiding inside that someone wants buried in the deep? -- Deathshead419It may surprise many to learn that it takes a lot of effort to sink a ship on purpose. It's not just where and when. It's making sure every last speck of hazardous chemicals aboard are gone. Making certain that nothing left aboard would tempt divers to risk their lives going to fetch it or going to look at it. And making sure no air pockets could possibly remain.

Pressure is a harsh master, and one implosion can ruin a lot of plans. Especially if that implosion is in a load-bearing section of the wreck. Or, for instance, filled with things that could tempt divers.

Any mystery can tempt a diver, not thinking that the default answer to "What's down there?" is "Death. Specifically, yours."
