Joan of Contention 😷As a gay of a certain time and place, I have only ever heard of Fanny Cradock, as though some kind of very mythical, very camp entity. Tonight, for the first time, I have seen her - on BBC Four, making manky Christmas mincemeat everything.
Here, for example, she is making in her inimitable way AN OMLETTE into which she has added a feck-load of mincemeat, *and* which she smothered in sifted icing. I want to gag, and I love her.
