Anyone on the fediverse willing to make and sell stickers specifically to cover up the @frameworkcomputer logos on our laptops? Preference for #artists who find themselves in the crosshairs of bigoted monsters such as DHH.
The #framework company is in its #MilkshakeDuck arc, this week. We gave them money in exchange for well-built laptops that are engineered to be repairable and replaceable, which seemed part of a noble effort to preserve our #rightToRepair and one path toward a possible #permacomputing future. Alas, they spent some of that money funding far-right bigots, and attempted to rationalise this indefensible decision with some tired old "Big Tent" inclusivity-jargon.
To show our rejection of this both-sides-ism, I propose that the theme of these stickers could be that of a #CozyTent. Our tent isn't "big": it doesn't have room for those who wish to harm the vulnerable among us. What it lacks in permissiveness it makes up for in warmth and empathy and camaraderie. It allows us to shelter ourselves and those we care about from the gathering storm.
I will continue to use my framework laptop, because I have neither the resources nor the need to replace it. I appreciate that this is somewhere on the spectrum of the "I bought this before..." stickers people put on their Model Y automobiles a couple years back, but we genuinely saw no signs that this company would make such a pro-fascist turn until now.
I have hopes that other efforts will produce replacement parts and upgrades. I also sincerely hope that Framework see the error of their ways and make reparations. Until that day, the only thing they will get from me is a warning to potential buyers: do not go into their tent.
Felix Baumgartner has died.
There's nothing like a death for there to be a #milkshakeDuck moment
Milkshake Duck Status and Rationales: A list of currently known milkshake ducks, how I’m treating their work in my own consumption habits …

As I continue on my project to read my way through all the Hugo Best Novel winners, I've decided to skip 2001 (JKR's HP and the Goblet of Fire), 2002 (Gaiman's American Gods), and 2009 (Gamian's Graveyard Book). Can we get fewer #MilkshakeDuck situations, please?
A few days ago I said that there's going to be a #MilkshakeDuck moment with the #CEOKiller & low & behold he wasn't some supporter of the downtrodden but an ultra, ultra rich guy with a breeding fetish & questionable views on many topics.
Can't lionise that shit what-so-ever.
Uh, maybe don't read about the "Willy's Chocolate Experience" latest exploits: major CW, plus court appearances
