MESSINA (ITALPRESS) – “Conto di tornare presto in provincia di Messina per l'avvio dei lavori: il ponte è meno della metà dei 13 miliardi e mezzo di investimenti già messi a bilancio, il resto riguarda opere che arriveranno sulle città e nell'area metropolitana tra Messina e Reggio”. Lo ha detto il vicepresidente del Consiglio e ministro delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti, Matteo Salvini, intervenendo in collegamento al convegno “Infrastrutture di mobilità sostenibile: innovazione, tecnologia e sicurezza”, promosso da FS Engineering con la collaborazione di ANSFISA, che si è svolto nel Salone dei Mosaici della stazione di Stazione di Messina Marittima.Il ministro ha ricordato che in Sicilia sono in corso cantieri per circa 27 miliardi di euro, tra strade, ferrovie, bacini idrici e interventi di messa in sicurezza del territorio. “Non penso che in passato ci siano stati investimenti contemporaneamente di questa portata per una terra straordinaria come la Sicilia”, ha affermato.Salvini ha sottolineato il ruolo di FS Engineering e ANSFISA nel garantire sicurezza e monitoraggio delle infrastrutture, anche con strumenti di analisi predittiva. “Sapere che queste eccellenze accompagneranno i cantieri è qualcosa di assolutamente importante”, ha detto, ribadendo che “la sicurezza dei lavoratori e degli operatori delle infrastrutture è fondamentale”.Il ministro ha evidenziato inoltre che il progetto sullo Stretto comprende nuove stazioni e fermate ferroviarie e una rete di collegamenti che “metterà insieme Messina e Reggio con una linea metropolitana continua tra le due sponde, a prescindere dalle condizioni meteo”. The Minister recalled that in Sicily, there are construction sites for approximately 27 billion euros, involving roads, railways, reservoirs and land safety interventions. “I don’t believe that in the past there have been investments simultaneously of this scale for a remarkable land like Sicily,” he stated.
