There are a lot of striking examples of bad and misleading visualizations out there. Even specific websites dedicated to the topic can be found. Yet, most of them only discuss charts and maps. Examples for bad 3D visualizations of spatial data (medical, flow, engineering, biological, climate, wheater, ...) are really hard to find.

Does anyone know of a good source for those?

If I were to give insight into my design projects (mainly illustrations, infographics and animations) ranging from medical, to archaeological and data visualization, what platform would you prefer these insights to be on?

Mostly wrapped up the animation, so now I'm trying to figure out the lighting and materials. Below are 3 examples with different sets of subsurface scattering settings.

Getting the materials and lights right is essential, since they determine the general feel and atmosphere of the visual. This is especially important as you want to create positive and supportive explainers for patients. It's as much about making it understandable as it is about establishing trust.

New release for my #Unity volume rendering plugin: https://github.com/mlavik1/UnityVolumeRendering/releases/tag/release-5

Now supports saving volumetric GameObjects as prefab. Now I just need to port that over to the Godot plugin.. oh never mind, everything's a scene in Godot so that just works already I guess :)
