Milano, 28 mar. (Adnkronos) - “Con il pacchetto di riforme, che presenteremo al Presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni e al Ministro per lo Sport e i Giovani Andrea Abodi, così come a tutti gli organi istituzionali che regolano lo sport in Italia, cercheremo di dare una spinta forte affinché il merito sia parte integrante dell'azione sportiva”. Così Walter Mauriello, presidente nazionale di Meritocrazia Italia in occasione della consueta Direzione Nazionale che il Movimento organizza ogni anno tra fine inverno e inizio primavera e che quest'anno, per la prima volta, raduna tutta la dirigenza nel capoluogo lombardo. Il titolo dell'evento che ha preso il via a Milano è “L'ordinamento sportivo dopo l'art. 33 Cost. – il trionfo del merito anche a livello costituzionale" e fa riferimento alla riforma del 2023 con cui la pratica sportiva è entrata a far parte della Costituzione italiana come ‘valore individuale e sociale per il benessere fisico e psicologico delle persone'.
“Nello sport italiano c'è meritocrazia, ma non ovunque. Nel tennis ce n'è tanta, nel calcio no. Bisogna trovare un punto di equilibrio. Inoltre, lo sport italiano non sta vivendo il suo momento di massimo splendore, alcuni sport ci stanno dando tante soddisfazioni, come lo sci e il tennis, ma il calcio no. - spiega - Anno dopo anno, credo che le istituzioni si stiano allontanando dal concetto di sport, sportivi e tifosi. Lo dimostra, ad esempio, il fatto che sono state organizzate competizioni sportive a Pasqua, perché il dio denaro vale di più della Passione, della famiglia, dello stare insieme”.
“La scelta del tema di questa edizione è ricaduta sullo sport perché non vogliamo che esso sia una nicchia, una lobby, in cui conta solo la valutazione economica - conclude - ma desideriamo che sia ciò che insegna: l'essere amici pur essendo in competizione e l'avere un progetto comune alla società. Questo vuole essere un momento per creare una discussione e un'integrazione di contenuti che” stimoli “la collettività ad interessarsi dello sport, anche a livello istituzionale”.

The title of the event, which began in Milan, is “The Sporting Organization after Article 33 of the Constitution – the Triumph of Merit also at a Constitutional Level” and refers to the 2023 reform, with which sporting practice has become part of the Italian Constitution as ‘an individual and social value for the physical and psychological well-being of people'.
“There is meritocracy in Italian sport, but not everywhere. There is a lot of it in tennis, none in football. We need to find a balance. Furthermore, Italian sport is not currently experiencing its moment of greatest splendor, some sports are giving us great satisfaction, such as skiing and tennis, but not football. – he explains – Year after year, I believe that institutions are distancing themselves from the concept of sport, athletes and fans. This is demonstrated, for example, by the fact that sporting competitions were organized on Easter, because money is worth more than Passion, family, and togetherness.”
“The choice of theme for this edition has fallen on sport because we do not want it to be a niche, a lobby, where only economic evaluation matters – he concludes – but we want it to be what it teaches: being friends while being in competition and having a common project for society. This should be a moment to create a discussion and an integration of content that ‘stimulates the collective to be interested in sport, even at an institutional level’.”
