I don't do a lot of animations, but couldn't resist with this one. This traces the path of 25 iterations of the system
x ↦ x - 0.4 sin(y + sin(0.4y))
y ↦ y - 0.4 sin(x + sin(-2x))
with initial (x, y) the set of points on a circle of radius 12, as the center moves from (-5, -0.4) to (+5, -0.4).

An animation (HTML5 canvas and Javascript) made for a very small, very informal talk, which was supposed to be about gauge theory but only got as far as talking about connections and #ParallelTransport. The audience already knew all about it but they were very indulgent (both of them)!
