I really don't understand why so many #DataProfessionals refuse to #MaskInPublic.
These are people whose entire careers are built on the assertion that every decision should be #DataDriven. Meanwhile, the data very clearly indicates that #CovidIsNotOver, that #LongCovid can result in long-term or permanent disability, and that masking drastically reduces the likelihood of infection.
Where's the disconnect? Don't they feel like hypocrites, urging their business stakeholders to #TrustTheData while refusing to do so themselves?
This 60 Minutes is...well, it's 60 Minutes. Note that these experts on aerosol exposure are NOT WEARING MASKS.
But the point is: #COVID is spread via aerosols. Indoor air quality is the thing that makes a difference that no government seems to give a shit about as part of a coherent public health initiative.
As the one person who still masks out of the ~30 I share office space with, I feel this in my soul.
This shit isn't over. People keep getting sick, and more of them become disabled or chronically ill, as governments (and pharmaceutical corporations) keep telling the public that it's all over, it's "just a cold".
Maybe I wear a mask in public because I'm a superhero. Would you get mad about Batman showing in front of you?

Nothing says "not for you" like "exclusively in theaters (no mask mandates + no one will prevent harassment if you do wear a mask)" as we head into another year of pandemic, this time with more viruses!
