After 25 years of managing tech people I've collected a lot of good and bad ideas of how to do it. Here's my summary. I call it my #ManagementPrinciples

1. People will perform better when they know their manager cares about them.
2. You cannot fake number 1. Stop trying. Be genuine.
3. Any team, dept or org will take on the personality traits of its leadership. Remember this. It matters.
