Now that I’ve found out that marshmallows used to be made from (the roots of brackish) marsh mallows, but are now made from sugar and gelatin, it has me wondering what they originally tasted like, and whether anyone makes marshmallows from marsh mallows (probably the powdered root) anymore (locally, to purchase, in Toronto Canada).
