A4: Fifth item is a hard one, since there's the two notebooks already and the two pens. That forces me to pick between the lab book (making a third notebook) or my laptop.

Now I can obviously do a lot more work with one of those objects than the other.

But getting bored and filling up that lab book has been where all my best ideas come from. And if I'm going away for a month, I'm probably busy enough not to want to fill the rest of my time with the tinkering I do at home anyway.

So yeah, I guess the three notebooks and the two pens.

Q1: Who are you, and tell us about something making related thing that you have been given?

A1: It is I, Andy. One of my neighbours gave me some woodwork books after her husband died. I offered her some money for them but she refused.

@[email protected] Q5: What experience have you had that was closest to the scene in Apollo 13, where they had to make a square air filter fit in a round hole?

A5: Nothing specific is coming to mind. Bound to be something when working on the bike like when little naughty imps come and steal parts* and I have to improvise a replacement.

Or the naughty little imps break something** and I have to improvise to fix it.

*I lose the parts.
**I break something.

Q4: Not really! I don't "get out" much.

I have of course seen so many enviable workspaces on YouTube. I like the organised chaos of Adam Savage's space to take one obvious example. Most of my favourites have a luxury of _space_ to organise things into.

A1: Hello, I'm Matt, a cosplayer and maker from the Chicago area. This week I've been trying to finish sewing a custom dress form. I bought the pattern from Bootstrap Fashion, and I'll be using it to make the Geralt/Witcher costume that I'll be working on over the next couple months.

A3 I can't do lyrics (unless I doing something easy like tidying up) so normally the Drone channel on SomaFM or Max Richter (His album Sleep is 8 hours long). Also Clint Mansell's Moon OST. #MakersHours @makershour
