I am restoring an IBM 3279 color mainframe terminal for what wipe be the greatest prank I'm the history of IBM teleconferencing. But the on board battery is dead like Tupac and the Real Paul McCartney. Is there some way for me to make an appropriate replacement at home using AAs and a breadboard?

There were a lot of fun things about #IBMTechXchange 2025 last week, but one of my favorites was our "Doom Takeover" at the Monday evening expo hall party. Instead of running our demos, I just had people logging into an IBM #LinuxONE #mainframe and playing Freedoom over VNC #Doom 😁

I'm at #IBMTechXchange 2025 this week and yesterday was a whirlwind of great open source and community stuff 😍

Today we're beginning the day with a #mainframe roadmap that has a lot of AI, that is exploring a lot of AIOps that use agents to help administrators pinpoint and solve root cause failures more quickly.
