Columbia University graduate, Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil reunited with his wife and met his newborn son after being released from over 100 days in ICE detention. After flying from Louisiana to New Jersey, Khalil told reporters, “If they threaten me with detention, even if they would kill me, I would still speak up for Palestine.”
Resistance is a right of the oppressed.

I have a modest proposal, inspired by the "Dance Alone" phenomenon.
#MahmoudKahlil has been disappeared. ICE is looking to disappear more academics. Along with them our very unis/colleges are being disappeared too.
What if all academics decided "no more meetings/committees/conferences alone!".
Put a picture of Mahmoud Kahlil in an empty chair at EVERY ACADEMIC MEETING. Dept mtg? Mahmoud gets a seat. Conference? Mahmoud in an empty seat on stage next to the keynote. You get the idea.
