@musevg oh that needs a longer explanation, but the tl:dr is, that @todbot built a #MacroPadSynthPlug that adds a sound output feature to an adafruit numpad and I made a cheap version where I combined both.

Attached: 2 images Having fun putting together a "ghetto" version of the adafruit macro pad, just because @[email protected] wrote such cool sound stuff for it. I want to recycle some components and this is fun to design till 3am apparently. I'm integrating his macro pad that uses the qwiic port for audio out and midi-in. Using up some simpler parts like 12mm buttons, 5mm neopixels and I might have ordered a 7-pin OLED display. On the back is a RP2040 PICO. Need to remove some through holes.

Danger, rude noise! Ever wanted an Atari Punk Console synth but couldn't find the time to twiddle knobs? With an @adafruit MacroPad RP2040 & my “autopunkconsole” you can get Punk Console-like sounds, automatically! And if you have a #MacroPadSynthPlug, you can pipe the audio to your sound system!

got some nice resonance going here, definitely enjoying the lokipad so far, after the hick-up with the LEDs. I want battery and an amp now :D #MacroPadSynthPlug is a win :)

Want a drone #synth for your @adafruit #MacroPad #RP2040? Yeah I did too! With the #MacroPadSynthPlug you can too. 12 independently-controllable oscillators, change them one at a time, or in groups. Tell the oscillators to "scatter" for maximum dissonance. Who needs musicality when you got noise?

More #MacroPadSynthPlug! My #CircuitPython-based drum machine for @adafruit #MacroPad #RP2040 now supports multiple drum kit sample packs! Selectable *while playing* (and mostly without missing a beat). It's really amazing how fast it is to iterate in CircuitPython. I added the multi-kit support in about an hour. #adafruit #drummachine

What I did during holiday: MacroPadSynthPlug! I really like the @adafruit MacroPad RP2040. It could be a really fun stand-alone musical instrument, but it has no Audio Out. Except now it does! MacroPadSynthPlug is a small board that gives you Audio Out & TRS-A MIDI In. Here's a demo of a simple drum machine in #CircuitPython. No other synths, just #MacroPad #RP2040!
