The snow is leaving the garden, and winter hideouts are revealed.

Lots of surface tunnels under the snow in one part. Someone lived here over winter. A mole or vole perhaps. They won't be able to stay, exposed to predators like that.

And who collected all these cones under a tree? It's quite a haul from the nearest pine.

The piles of leaves I dumped here and there have nicely shrunken down and are ready to be mixed back into the soil.

Snow almost gone. The puddles are shrinking. Soon the meadow will awaken.

At night you can hear the little river roar from all the meltwater.
