Yesterday I noticed both the Tecnam manual and Lycoming's manual specify the IO-360-M1A "Economy Cruise" operation (2350 rpm) with "60R rated".

60R? 🤔 Did the author (assuming QWERTY) wanted to hit shift+5 for "%" and the finger fell short on the "R"? Or is this a term technique I missed in school?

With #Cirrus and #Lycoming allowing for voiding relevant warranties to #aircraft run with #GAMI unleaded fuel, the FAA has made a statement saying warranty policy is the prerogative of their respective manufacturers.

That’s one of the nice things about flying Diamond aircraft with diesel engines, and Rotax engines — they’ve been able to use unleaded fuel for years.
