Jak powstawał „Severance” – kulisy montażu na Macach i nowy „Mac” w ofercie

Apple udostępniło nowy film z serii „Behind the Mac”, pokazujący, jak komputery Mac były wykorzystywane podczas montażu drugiego sezonu serialu „Severance” na Apple TV+. Dodatkowo firma wprowadziła nowość do swojego sklepu online.

W 11-minutowym materiale montażysta Geoffrey Richman ujawnia, że finałowy odcinek był szczególnie wymagający – w jednej ze scen miał do wyboru aż 70 ujęć, co wymagało użycia klipu multicam z dziewięcioma kątami jednocześnie. Całkowita ilość materiału wyniosła około 83 TB.

Richman używa głównie iMaca i łączy się z Mac mini wyposażonym w oprogramowanie do montażu Avid. Dzięki synchronizacji między urządzeniami może kontynuować pracę na MacBooku Pro w podróży.

Lumon Terminal Pro

Apple w ramach promocji serialu „Severance” dodało na stronie Mac nowy, fikcyjny produkt – Lumon Terminal Pro.

Terminal przypomina urządzenia używane w serialu przez postacie takie jak Mark S. i Helly R.. Ma niebieską klawiaturę, mały ekran z szerokimi ramkami i trackball do nawigacji.

Lumon Terminal Pro nie jest dostępny w sprzedaży, ale na stronie znajdują się linki do prawdziwych komputerów Mac oraz filmu o kulisach montażu drugiego sezonu.

Drugi sezon „Severance” jest już dostępny na Apple TV+, a Apple potwierdziło powstanie trzeciego sezonu. Reżyser Ben Stiller zapowiedział, że nie trzeba będzie czekać na niego kolejnych trzech lat.

The Severance Lumon Terminal Pro Computer Is Now On The Apple Store

Severance is quite a streaming hit for Apple TV+ and Apple is going all in on hyping the show and it’s Mac computers on the Apple Store.

To push a behind the scenes look at the editing of Severance on Mac computers Apple added a pro version of the Lumon computer used in the show to the Apple Store website. Of course, they added the Pro version. You can visit the page while it’s still around by going to the Apple website and selecting Mac, then selecting The Lumon Terminal Pro at the top of the page. The video link is included on that webpage.

By the way, the behind the scenes video of the editing process using Macs and Apple software is quite good and worth a watch.
