You know how they say you see what you expect to be there..
Well it happens with hearing too.
Listening to my screen reader read out a cuple of book titles led me to have the wrong expectation from the novels.
It turns out that in the book: The Girl Who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There, there are no Rebels (As in revolutionaries). There are Revels there, (As in extravagant parties).
In the book: The Traitor Baru Cormorant, Baru who is an accountant, doesn't use her skills to become a Trader (As in dealer in goods). She becomes a Traitor, (As in a revolutionary).
It's not that Baru's revolution doesn't have a strong financial component, it's just that I kept expecting trade to become a major part of the plot.
