National Trust Longshaw this afternoon turned out to be near perfect with the early gloom lifting and sun breaking through

Cuckoo, meadow pipits (pity the poor meadow pipits with a cuckoo around), stonechat and the first swallow of the summer at White Edge Lodge

And trees

And hills

And a cup of tea at the cafe after a good walk
