I have installed Arch and alpine on my laptop. I'm looking for a suitable OS that boot the device quickly. I can't see that much different between Arch and windows (2~3 min). Alpine is kind of helpful to the situation with ~1 min boot time.
Probably the major issue is the HDD in the lap.
Finally made the switch to Linux (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS)! 🐧 The customizability is just insane and the speed wooww!. I’d say installing Linux is the 2nd best choice I’ve made in my life... I'll let you guess the 1st one! 😉 (Ha ha!)
