Mock up of what the Skiffy 442 would be like with the new linear PSU option. I still need to do some QC on checking for ripple and noise but the burn in test went well.

Modules back in! I need to 3D print another cover panel until the modules arrive that go there and I think I need to look at having some top and maybe side vent panels but yeah it's been a pretty big success!

I haven't had a chance to actually USE it yet but hopefully that will happen tonight. I don't expect it to sound much different with a fully linear power supply but it should be able to handle nearly anything I throw at it for a while!

I mentioned possibly open sourcing the unregulated PSU design. I'm still thinking on it though it won't be this design. I should have added LEDs to the power board. Both to verify it's working but also as a means to bleed off the caps. This plus a few other minor issues that need to be fixed before I think it can be useable for others. But again it does require working with both mains voltage and pretty phat capacitors. I do like that it's just much easier to understand and far less of a black box though. Also generally inexpensive at least for the power it can deliver.
