I completely missed this game back when it released on the Xbox 360, but after playing Control and learning that it takes place in the same universe as Alan Wake, combined with the fact that Control takes heavy inspiration from the SCP Foundation, I had to see what this game was about, and oh man was it a blast!

The use of your flashlight to drive away the darkness, the shadow zombies, the nightmares, the anomalies; the way they made use of flares for AoE shields, location denial, puzzle mechanics, it all just flowed so nicely. The story was campy, sure, but it honestly felt better because of it? It had this slight self awareness tongue-in-cheek vibes to it all, wrapped up in a coat of noir spoken by a writer who very much is in his own head a lot.

Loved this game, can't wait to play the sequel!
