Alex@rtnVFRmedia Suffolk UK#Ipswich only made number 5 in the #Turdtowns list for #Suffolk (so was "least worst" town). I was surprised to find #Leiston in there, didn't think it was that bad but have never been there often and have no reason to. Not surprised #Lowestoft came out on top, and I suspect poverty is a big reason (as it loses out even on martime-related employment to #Felixstowe and #Ipswich )

This was taken in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, in about 1979 at the Aldeburgh Carnival. Dave was using his not inconsiderable skills as a stilt walker for this parade, to raise funds for the events. He and I were part of the Performing Folk Group Magic Lantern, based at the time in nearby #Leiston.
