Au su des développements récents en IA, en sommes-nous à devoir coder les lois de la robotique d'Asimov ?

Semblerait que oui! Je n'ai *aucune* confiance en Sam Altman et ses semblables.

Should we start implementaing Asimov's laws of robotics given the current AI developments ?

To me it's a yes. No confidence whatsoever in Sam Altman and the like.

Almost *all* of Asimov's robot stories were stories about the ways that the Laws can go wrong.

Somewhere in the reams of autobiography, I forget where, Asimov pretty much said as much. Xe made the laws to avoid being pushed into the #SciFi trope of evil robot stories, and ended up writing mainly about the edge cases and loopholes, because that's where the interesting storytelling is.

Are there any AI companies that have the adopted and applied the #Asimov 3 #LawsofRobotics to their core beliefs and development of AI tools? I would work for such a company! @caseynewton
The #bloomberg robots.txt file not only lists the #LawsOfRobotics, but also encourages anyone reading it to apply for a job!

Space Gollum has advantages of weight and reach, and disadvantage of never exercising.

Zuckerborg has advantages of training in Brazilian jujitsu and mixed martial arts, and disadvantage of the First Law of Robotics.

...This said, I might also as well say that I see little chance for this happening, the globe being ruled by #oligarchs following the principal of #plutocracy and #capitalism (no, I am not a #Marxist;)) and #autocrats

Even a non-#superintelligence with access to the sensors of the #IoT will easily be aware of any threat to its existence and will find ways to circumvent the #LawsOfRobotics.

This first #ArtificialGeneralIntelligence was built by humans, so...

In short, according to #Tegmark, #AGI is a *very real threat*, and human society isn't doing nearly enough to stop it — or, at the very least, isn't ensuring that #AGI will be properly *aligned with human values and safety*."

[I.e. #Asimov's #LawsOfRobotics at an absolute minimum]

I agree 100% with this analysis, as posted in earlier threads:

...this way, many of the supposedly far-fetched statements can be seen from a different angle.

#JudgementDay might be a long way off and may even, hopefully, never come.

However, not even hardcoding the #LawsOfRobotics into #LLMs is, IMO, reckless.
There is enough #SciFi literature to imagine what could go wrong. We have read about the pitfalls of robotics (#AI) just #Asimov's could come up with. And there, these safeguards were in place.

Once the #AI...
