So had the cause to re-read #Asimov's Foundation .. and then recently watched the #Dune movies..

There are definate echos of Foundation in Dune's story .. think Mr Herbert may have doen a bit of derivation ... and/or Villeneuve borrowed quite a bit in the way of inspiration.
