I only do amateurish OSM stuff, but it's latlon always for me.

Maybe it's "Ablaut's strong with me", maybe something else, but having it the other way around (not even spelling it out :) ) has confused me many times.

One of the most error prone things is that (lat, lon) == (y, x).

The one invented to do it in this particular order is the most evil person in the entire Earth existence. Or the funniest one...
