One thing that immediately came to my mind when I saw #LangFocus' video on #TokiPona is that it can be an option not as a unoversal languague but as an option when regular languagues are may not be feasible.
- For example for people with severe learning disabilities that may otherwise have no ability to learn a more complex language.
Granted, I'm neither one of those nor am I having any experience re: caring for and communicating with people actually affected, so please don't take my word for it...
- It's just my theory and I acknowledge that such a strategy may flie in the face if #inclusion and inclusionary goals, which is likely the reason why it's not done...
