As is our tradition, we spent a week of Christmas at our favorite location - Big Bend Ranch State Park. The interior main road was worse than usual due to the summer storms of 2025, but we made it to our spot, roughly 12 miles from turning off FM170 just outside Presidio, in an hour and 45 minutes. Went to Lake Colorado City State Park for Thanksgiving week with a stop to and from at Monahans Sandhills state park.
During our last FTX (Field Training eXercise for you civilians) our absorption fridge, a #Norcold N611, locked up a couple times. The infamous Gas and Power lights blinking, meaning no AC power or propane available to run the fridge. Not a good thing for weekend warriors who primarily boondock. More on my Corner.

Our most anticipated #camping trip of the year is always Big Bend Ranch State Park. My favorite playground. So many #trails to explore whether it is along the easily accessible outside of Big Bend Ranch or within the rugged interior. Full story on my corner.
