#GreggAllman s 1. Soloalbum #LaidBack erschien im Oktober 1973 und erreichte Platz 13 der US-Billboard-Charts. Es erhielt für über 500.000 verkaufte Einheiten Goldstatus. Die Single "Midnight Rider" schaffte es in die Top 20. Der Albumtitel geht auf Allmans Wunsch zurück, das Tempo der Songs im Studio zu entspannen. Das Cover wurde von Abdul Mati Klarwein gestaltet.
