I just "finished" a total refactor on Živa (which I started developing at #Ljudmila.org) using two of SuperCollider's "hidden" features that have blown my mind:

1 - using method names as binary operators (https://doc.sccode.org/Reference/Syntax-Shortcuts.html)

2 - NodeProxy's roles. A NodeProxy can be set as an infinite mixer, by adding other NodeProxies to it's sources array. Then `~mixer.set(\mix<INDEX>, <VALUE>)` can be used to set the gain of that specific slot. Global effects can be added to slots with higher indices. It took me more than 10 years to discover this feature; thanks to Totalgee! (https://doc.sccode.org/Reference/NodeProxy_roles.html)
