My task was to download and untar a 500GB tar archive that can be accessed via SFTP only (no full SSH) and the local disk was only ~700GB in capacity. So downloading the file and unpacking locally would have taken up twice the 500GB.
Michaela MolthagenHab heute auf einem PC VSFTP mit Verschlüsselungszwang eingerichtet und auf dem anderen #lftp, also FTP-Server und FTP-Client, dazu noch Firewall-Regeln, damit nur genau eine IP-Adresse (mein Mastodon-Server) auf VSFTP zugreifen darf.
Hat mich viel Zeit gekostet, lftp mittels Try and Error dazu zu bringen, eine Verbindung (implizites FTP über SSL) zum Server aufzubauen.
Dafür habe ich jetzt einen Cronjob, der das Backup meiner Mastodon-Datenbank täglich auf den FTP-Server hochlädt.
Hat mich viel Zeit gekostet, lftp mittels Try and Error dazu zu bringen, eine Verbindung (implizites FTP über SSL) zum Server aufzubauen.
Dafür habe ich jetzt einen Cronjob, der das Backup meiner Mastodon-Datenbank täglich auf den FTP-Server hochlädt.

Avant j'utilisais #lftp pour mettre à jour mon site statique : https://www.Grimoire-Command.es
La commande permet de ne transférer que ce qui est nouveau vers le serveur, mais vérifie chaque fichier un par un, ce qui prenait 3 minutes.
Maintenant j'utilise #rsync et ça prend 6s.
Que n'ai-je mis ça en place 186 publications plus tôt…
