Am I the only one who feels it's outrageous that the minimum predefined tip amount at a restaurant is 22 per cent? Worse yet, it is displayed on the mobile scanner the server shows, so I have little time to calculate my own tip, especially when it only shows the total amount including the tax. (I always tip 15 per cent on top of the base amount before taxes.) At the very least, they should give you the bill first so you can verify it and calculate the tip.
