Hey #tech folks - can you help?

I have a #Razer #Kiyo #webcam (RZ19-0232) which is probably a couple of years old.

Recently, I noticed that it had got a bit warm (7 hours of calls will do that to any cam with a ringlight I guess!). Then the sun hit the back of it.

THe ring light started to flicker, then the camera shut off completely.

Let it cool off over night, now it will work for about 3 seconds, the picture whites out (like an over exposed photograph) and then the cam dies completely.

Plug it into a different USB port, same thing happens. It's the same on my work Windows laptop as it is on my own Mac, so my sense is that it's not a driver issue, but something hardware related.

Long/short - is it screwed? I've tried to find anyone online with similar issues, and the closest I have come is general light flickering, but not the image issue too.

I can't find anything that looks like a hardware reset button - anyone had anything similar/can help? Would rather fix than junk it if I can, of course!
