Kavita seems to fit the bill so slowly adding books to this
❌ DittoShoutout to #InternetArchive for hosting so many public domain books. I found so many childhood favorites and reads including #kontiki expedition #robertlouisstevenson etc. and a bunch of #fairytales and #mythology stories. I've self hosted them locally on #KavitaReader for the family to enjoy.
I'm one of those people who buys #humblebundle #techbooks a lot, just because they're cheap 😂.
#selfhosted #KavitaReader makes reading these a joy now... It's sad they don't have a good #phoneapp , I just use the #pwa .
I also downloaded some nostalgic #classics from #gutenberg now that reading/browsing is much easier.
On a separate note, I'm playing around with #easypanel , I love the intuitive workflow, but prefer #opensource . #caprover #dokku #OpenTofu on radar.
Technical IssuesAn interesting side effect of #KavitaReader is that it’s going to make me revisit #Calibre for the first time in several years since they recommend it as a way to add metadata to epub files.
#KavitaReader looks like it’s going to be a nice way to organize and present all our various #ebooks and #magazines (both epub and pdf ones).
