I am quite enjoying listening to Malevolent with friends. This is currently a WIP, but I I am definitely finishing it. it is always interesting how many different interpretations there can be for a single "entity". when there is no canon description thereof.

un-gunking my brain with some "life drawing". haven't drawn much with all the sewing going on, and i'm feeling a little hitchy in my linework for it. definitely grabbing my newsprint book and a pencil next time so i can do more and regain some naturalness.

A recent discussion with an artist friend and having read how AI affects artists in forms, made me think back to a point was trying to make months ago:
No Art is bad.

I don't think you can be bad at creativity.
You create because you love it, and you love it because its good. You've loved the the messy sketch and you loved the finished render. You loved the draft and you loved the poem. You loved the hum and you loved the chorus.

Not everything must end finished and polished, we sometimes need a stepping stone for another vision.

Something I've been thinking about is how especially now with so many people using ai because "I could never make anything close as good as this.". I obviously don't condemn usage of ai, but i can see how frustrating it can be to try and do something creative only to find out someone half your age can create tangible visions. Its embarrassing!

But i think that's why we need guides that don't only help improve art, but are really just beginning.
A "help i just picked my first instrument/ software/ pen" kind of tutorial.

I've considered doing this for art tutorials, going from a stick figure, to basics of shapes, to how to get somewhat feasible proportion and so on.

I know how to do art because I've been doing it for TWO DECADES, and god how i loathed some tutorials.
"Here's how to draw hands!"
With no lower layer for the skeleton being shown. Just one finger after another appearing. Or if you got that you have no idea how to connect it to the body.

Maybe it qas just bad luck, but i had a terrible time with tutorials.
