Leonardo Ferreira FontenelleI have just read #JustStabMeNow, and was positively surprised! I had enjoyed the series of short videos and like her work on YouTube, but this was a debut novel and, as Jill Bearup herself admitted, the series alone was not enough to fill the novel. Despite all that, the #book was well rounded and a joy to read. I laughed a lot and even shed a tear or two at a particular scene. I'm sorry she disliked writing the book, because I would certainly enjoy reading the next one.
Ryan#JustStabMeNow is a fun read...when you're trying to write a YA fantasy romance with a plucky teen heroine ... but you're stuck with a recalcitrant middle aged widow who is completely indifferent to all the tropes you're trying to set up.

#AmReading #JustStabMeNow, a meta-novel with a character writing a enemy-to-lovers novel (which we also read) and debating with her characters, who refuse to follow her tropes.
That's enormously fun, with the added benefit of providing us a romance which is, in some way, the opposite of Disney's Snow White (which marries someone who she's known for five minutes and kissed here without consent).

February the 4th the #JustStabMeNow novel will be released with a YouTube video. I've preordered the #book but obviously don't know yet how good will it be. I just know I enjoyed the series of YouTube #shorts it was based on, and also enjoy pretty much all of the author's YouTube work.
