@radlpit: Habe mir die Montageanleitung angeschaut und dann entschieden, dass ich das machen lasse. Den Umbau hat mir #JulianeNeuss aka #Brompton-Päpstin gemacht. An ihrem #SPEZI-Messestand hatte ich den #Velospeeder auch entdeckt und probefahren können. Meine Haus-und-Hof-Brompton-Werkstatt in Zürich hat einen E-Bike-Umbau mit einem ihnen unbekanntem Produkt nicht machen wollen. (Kann ich tlw. auch verstehen.)

Div. Reparaturen daran (Kabelbruch, Federbruch) habe ich aber schon selbst gemacht.

@insl: Wow, didn't know there's a second type of #Brompton based recumbents besides the '90s Brompton #recumbent kit by #JulianeNeuss. And even one a) still available (i.e. for current generations instead of Mk2 or earlier) and b) with simpler front wheel drive. Couldn't find it in the long list at https://www.kinetics-online.co.uk/category/custom-builds/, though.

And if you use a #SeatPostHugger, you could even still use Brompton front bags (mounted in the back to the seat post).

Now I want two #BenCooper Bromptons. 🤪

@ilanti: Sehe es ähnlich wie @lerk und @2Takter, nur dass ich bis zu 70km pro Tag auf dem #Brompton fahre. Seit dem #Velospeeder E-Bike-Umbau (auch von #JulianeNeuss) darf's auch mit Bergen sein. Im Herbst waren's mal 800 Höhenmeter und 65km an einem Tag. Der 313Wh-Akku war aber nach 22km und steilen ca. 350 Höhenmeter leer. Bin trotzdem weitergeradelt. 😎 Bin jedenfalls seit 17 Jahren happy mit dem Brompton und fahre 70km bis 400km pro Monat damit.

@ascentale @SRLevine #BikeNite A9: I usually take my everyday Brompton to open air events. But for #CCCamp23 (took place in August) I took also my #Winterbrompton with me as on the way there I left my daily driver at #JulianeNeuss for an pedal-assist e-bike conversion with the #Velospeeder kit. She later sent me the finished bike by postal service to the camp. So I rode 1.5 weeks in summer with studded tires on dusty or muddy paths as I found no time—or was too lazy 😉—to exchange them.
