Kudos to #JournalWithWitch to, in the context of a Valentine’s Day episode no less, for explicitly giving a shout out to Aro/Ace and stating that those are OK.

Meanwhile, Asa is still searching for her own identity/goal and struggling with it.

Then the #JournalWIthWitch episode ends with a classmate’s entirely justified rage at a news item about a medical university (she wants to become a doctor) uniformly deducting points from female applicants just because they are female.

So, yeah, there’s the #OOF for this episode. See, I knew it was coming…

Sometimes I think that Makio being #neurodivergent is the ENTIRE point of #JournalWithWitch.

Look, adults often don’t understand the teenagers in their care, that’s more or less expected sometimes.

But…Asa KNOWING that Makio is ND means that ***the teenager in question*** has a frame of reference to understand WHY Makio doesn’t understand her…and also a frame of reference to appreciate that Makio is TRYING damnit all…

Time for #journalWithWitch.

And I’ll probably need to say this at some point this episode so let’s get it out of the way now: OOF

Finally. 10 is the lucky number. #JournalWithWitch #IkokuNikki

@animefeminist Haha, oh no, that „Journal with Witch“ pic is a mood ^__^

I love how that series is like different aspects of me somehow turned into two people living together (my need for being alone that turns into need for socialising after some time and vice versa, a never-ending circle). #JournalWithWitch

So that episode was basically 23 minutes of “WHO AM I?” with Asa not having any answer to that, let alone an answer that she’s happy with.

Meanwhile, Makio still hasn’t worked it out either… #JournalWithWitch

Asa is starting to process her grief, and Makio is struggling to deal with the outside world (specifically the school on Asa’s behalf). #JournalWithWitch
