Sometimes it feels like subtle, thoughtful #anime get overlooked and lost among the long running series and flash in the pan seasonal shows.

Not this time!

Journal With Witch looks like it held strong. I thought it got a bit less focused as it went on, but its quality was unquestionable. Glad to see something so real yet off beat get some actual viewer recognition!

While I don't feel I am capable of truly conveying why this story rules I hopefully did a good job giving a surface level Quickie of its grand appeal. #JournalWithWitch #IkokuNikki #Yuri #GL #WLW yuriempire.wordpress.com/2026/04/03/y...

I will say right now that I honestly cannot do this story justice because I do not consider myself capable of doing so. Instead I will try to explain through this Quickie, besides the reason for it…

Journal with Witch è stato una bella sorpresa in questa stagione. Che bello quando le storie ti portano a vedere vie poco battute!

WELP. That was the end of #JournalWithWitch.

I think I might have to sit down and rewatch that one before I can even try to write a review of it.

I'm not into numerical rating of things, but Ikoku Nikki would get top score for me in any chosen system. Absolutely wonderful anime that we're very lucky to have this year. Feels like we weren't told everything, but there's always the manga source and that's exactly what I'm going to check next

A girl loses tragically loses her parents, and moves in with her estranged aunt...is such a fucking disservice to the depth of this show. Anime of the year without a doubt. I say that with Frieren S2 and Ascendance of a bookworm S4 coming.

If you have ever dealt with loss, this #anime is either too damn much, or just fucking right.

I love the art, and the general feeling. Barely-functional adult cares for grieving teen, but told with a delicate touch
