Looking forward to listening in on #RogerHallam, #DanaFisher, #JeremyLent and #JamesDyke discuss collapse and dark optimism from 5:30pm, and then rounding off the festival with my workshop on how to live into it from 6:30pm today 🙂

In the first edition of Coming Back to Life (1998), Joanna Macy defined the Great Turning simply as the transition from the Industrial Growth Society to a Life-Sustaining Society.
By the second edition (2014), Joanna was brilliantly reframing the Great Turning as not only the transition, but also as a story we can choose to participate in.
This story serves as a compass, guiding and sustaining us. And all of our efforts along the way generate, collectively, the map for the journey.

I feel tremendous gratitude to author #JeremyLent for weaving this “sacred and precious strand” into #TheWebofMeaning.

Have you read it?

"Perhaps we might begin to see humanity’s role, not to re-engineer a broken planet for further exploitation, but to attune with the rest of life’s abundance, and ensure that our own actions harmonise with the Earth’s ecological rhythms." #JeremyLent
