Last year, I passed on the opportunity to acquire a #JLC Reverso 240.8.15. A lot of details make this reference a stand out:
- 5-links steel bracelet which is excessively rare as most Reversos are on leather straps
- unusual dial layout with power reserve at 10-11, big date at 7, small seconds at 5
- 2nd face with open case back exhibiting balance wheel and dual barrels for 8 days power reserve
Beautiful watch but too big, too thick and uncomfortable on wrist imho. #watches #watchesofmastodon

As part of my recent visit to an AD, I tried again a few #JLC Reverso. I enjoy the idea but in practice I find them extremely clunky and uncomfortable. Small is too small and quartz only. Large is unwieldy like a big trunk on my wrist. This is why it is so important to see #watches in person. #watchesofmastodon

As good as The Bear is, and it is GOOD. Shamefully good. Other dramas pale in comparison. Jamie Lee Curtis still gave a bar rising performance.

Invisible. The actress disappears. Only the fully formed character remains, an astonishment.

Like The Bear itself her performance is an aspiration, a goal, a touchstone. Actors have a new example, a new height of skills and talent, Jamie Lee Curtis.

It is bravura, a masterpiece.
